An Oatmeal Bath For Smoother, Healthier Skin

It might sound a little strange, but bathing in oatmeal can be wonderfully beneficial for your skin. It soothes inflamed skin, gently moisturizes, contains antioxidants and protects your skin from the dirt, bacteria and environmental toxins that can lead to dryness, irritation or damage.

First, grind up your oatmeal into a powder in your coffee grinder or food processor. Next, run a warm bath. Then add one cup of the oatmeal and let it steep for one minute. The water should appear milky. Finally, get in the tub, unwind, and enjoy. Rinse your skin before you get out, before applying a natural, gentle moisturizer.
