Did you know there are five basic emotions, and it’s normal to feel all of them during just one day. They are:
- Anger
- Fear
- Disgust
- Sadness
- Happiness
There’s also shame, surprise, and embarrassment.
But let’s talk about fear for now. Fear has many levels. You could feel nervous, panicked, anxious, stressed, worried, horrified, concerned, unsettled, uneasy, or just alert, and still be experiencing fear.
During these times of uncertainty, it’s normal to feel fear. Even just a little bit.
But they don’t need to overwhelm your day or your life. Here’s my challenge for you today. Be aware of your emotions. And when you feel fear, breathe. Take a deep breath in through your nose, and blow it out slowly through your mouth. Then think of something positive about whatever it is that’s giving you fear. Is there a silver lining? Find it, and feel grateful for it, and you’ve just turned fear into gratitude.
