I promote tea drinking. If you read this blog often, you’ll know that! But coffee does have some health benefits, as we’ve found out in recent years. The key, I think, is not to overdo it. Yet there are ways of balancing the effects of coffee, which can include feeling jittery and unfocused. One popular way is to add Lion’s Mane, a functional mushroom or medicinal mushroom that boosts brain health, and is calming and centering. This recipe serves 1.
Ingredients
- 2 packets instant coffee, such as Four Sigmatic Instant Coffee with Lion’s Mane
- 1 T monk fruit sweetener, xylitol or other natural sweetener
- 1 T hot or cold water
- 6-8 ounces non-dairy milk, such as almond or coconut
Instructions
- Add two packets of instant coffee to a large mug or glass.
- Add the monkfruit sweetener.
- Add the hot or cold water.
- Use a frother or mixer to whip and combine.
- Pour the non-dairy milk into a glass and gently top the whipped dalgona cream on top.
- Stir if you’d like, and enjoy.
