There are various types of acne, including cystic acne, inflammatory acne and acne mechanica. However, I’ve found that natural solutions are usually always helpful.
One of the most important factors in the recovery of my clients has been dietary changes, but what you put on your skin is extremely important. Or rather, what you don’t put on your skin! Topical acne remedies should be as natural as possible. Here’s one you can try for yourself. Please use it for two weeks before deciding whether or not to continue.
- 1 tablespoon of coconut oil (have faith, using oil along with the following ingredients won’t have the same effect as using it alone)
- 3 tablespoons of honey
- 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar
- 20 drops of tea tree essential oil (AKA melaleuca)
- 2 capsules of live probiotics
Mix up the ingredients, then store in the fridge. Apply to damp skin and gently massage your whole face. Leave it on for a few minutes before rinsing thoroughly with warm water. Splash your skin with cold water before applying your moisturizer or other natural skin products.
